About Anna
Anna Trubnikov was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Russia (former Leningrad, USSR). After graduating from
high school, she attended the Institute of Theater and Cinematography where she studied painting, sculpture,
history, and literature. Had she stayed in Russia, she would have graduated as a stage artist, designing theater
stage sets.
In 1980 Anna emigrated to the United States and, after learning to speak English, she attended the Academy of Art
College in San Francisco, majoring in Commercial and Fashion Illustration. After graduating, she freelanced her
way up and down the Western US, from Los Angeles to Seattle, before coming back to the Bay Area to raise a family.
Since moving back to California, Anna has been commissioned to paint murals and illustrations, taught art at the
local middle school, had her work reproduced in Print Master Gold software by Mindscape, and concentrated on her
oil painting. Recently Anna began illustrating children's books. She completed Roger Finds a Family in 2005.
Her latest illustrations, found in I Didn't Know That! a children's book by Jennifer Speer, can be purchased
from Jennifer's website.
Anna's work is exhibited in Sonoma County galleries and is available via this website. Email Anna for more information.
Anna Trubnikov currently resides in California.
